About

An 18th-century former farm converted into a warm country home, La Basse Cour invites you to recharge and indulge. Nestled in the heart of a one-hectare estate bordered by a peaceful lake frequented by herons and egrets, nature and good food are central to your experience.
Each morning starts gently with a homemade breakfast made from delicious local produce, served until 11:00 am on the terrace facing the lake if you wish. In the evening, our table d'hôte highlights garden vegetables and local produce from sustainable farming (€28 per person, upon reservation at least 24 hours in advance).
Upstairs, three cozy guest rooms with private shower rooms and toilets promise restful nights. A dedicated lounge for guests (equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and hot and cold drinks) as well as your own house key provide complete autonomy. You are also welcome to enjoy the gardens for bucolic picnics.
For outdoor enthusiasts, marked hiking trails start right behind the house. Ideally located 10 minutes from Alençon and 35 minutes from Le Mans, La Basse Cour combines peaceful countryside charm with easy access to main routes and circuits.

Our Table d'Hôtes Join us for a friendly meal around a homemade dinner! We cook with local produce, regional ingredients, and fresh vegetables straight from our garden to serve you authentic and flavorful dishes. Organization: We offer a single set menu. Reservations should ideally be made 48 hours in advance (at least 24 hours prior). Adaptability & Allergies: While we offer a set menu, we are happy to adapt to your needs! When booking, please feel free to let us know about any food intolerances, allergies, or special diets. If a dish doesn't suit you, we will gladly take the time to discuss it together and adjust the menu so you can fully enjoy your meal.

You will have your own keys to come and go at any time you wish throughout your stay.
To respect everyone's sleep and rest, we kindly ask you to avoid loud noises late in the evening (after 10:00 pm) and early in the morning (before 8:00 am).
Smoking & Vaping: The establishment is non-smoking and vape-free upstairs as well as in the rooms. Vaping is allowed on the ground floor, and smokers are welcome in the outdoor areas (garden and terrace).
